This headset transmits audio through radio frequency, allowing swimmers to stream high-quality audio while under water. Launching in 2019. https://LAUNCH.SHOPZYGO.COM Count me as the skeptical ones. I not believe it. Doubt the sound is able to go deeper than 12 inches. Hope to be proven wrong. They say since it uses radio waves, the sound can travel deeper. Speedo had a radio years ago and worked 2-3 feet underwater. Technology has improved since then. Company is planning to introduce an Android version of the Zygo App, but just to clarify: the headset works with any device! You can use an Android device to play Spotify, iTunes, a podcast, etc. and the headset streams it. When we say there's not an Android version yet, we're only referring to the App of guided workouts. It will be $299 for the headset and transmitter in a carrying case that wirelessly charges both units simultaneously. It's advanced technology and high-quality materials, so we certainly think it's a decent price for the product. Company is offering significant early bird discounts, so please do leave your email address for us to stay in touch closer to launch! What is the range from phone, realistically. Our requirement from day one has been a range of 50 meters at 2 feet below the water, during a flip turn for example. But most times when we swim our head is at the surface, so the range is much greater. It also depends in parts on the type of water (chlorine vs salt vs fresh). I should mention that for activities above water - such as windsurfing, standup paddle boarding, etc - the range is over half a mile. Two different product lines: the Zygo Solo with one headset, and the Zygo Deco with ten headsets, all in one carrying case that also charges all units simultaneously. The Deco is for teams, and the retail price will be $1,999; we are indeed offering a discount for early customers, so please do join the wait list to stay in the loop. We're really excited to get Zygo in the hands of coaches. Bone conduction isn't new tech it is just listening to music while swimming isn't really practical. You're right, Mike! It's not the bone conduction part that makes Zygo innovative. It's the use of radio frequency that overcomes the limitations with Bluetooth, enabling live streaming through the water from your phone on land. But by using bone conduction, your ears stay open, which is much safer and more comfortable in the water. Go beyond music and listen to podcasts, meditation tracks, guided workouts - any audio content. Zygo enables live coaching, so you can also receive real time instruction from someone to improve your technique. (Not just swimming by the way! Any water sport: surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, standup paddle boarding, etc) The typical, technology addicted populace has reached a point where they can't do anything without some form of mobile device, be it a phone or music while swimming. These are the same bozos walking around with bud. Ask a runner if he really needs to listen to music while running? I doubt it... the swimmers I know put in hours/miles during their practices... like Zygo said, now they have the option Some like to swim distance and music can help keep up the pace. It's not an addiction, it's just another tool. If you don't like it then don't use them. Speedo came out with a radio years ago. Sometimes it's nice to workout with music.
